1. Discovery Call

Our client are a global financial payment organisation with ambitious growth plans requiring significant resourcing.

Our initial discovery call with them identified three major areas that required immediate attention.

Firstly, they had a number of senior roles that needed top performing people to fill them as soon as possible.

Secondly, they were concerned about the amount they were spending on recruitment agencies with variable levels of success for mid-level roles.

Thirdly, they were receiving very few direct applications for roles and had no active talent pipelining strategy in place for future recruitment needs.

As a result, we partnered with our client on a consultancy basis to undertake an in-depth analysis of their recruitment strategy and identify a number of solutions to address their areas of concern.

2. Bespoke Solutions

Our Leadership Advisory practice undertook a detailed consultancy to review our client’s recruitment strategy to identify any shortcomings and areas of development.

Given their immediate need for quality people within senior roles, our Executive Search arm were engaged to headhunt the best talent for these vacancies, ensuring our client’s business could start delivering their ambitious growth plans as soon as possible.

We also identified a number of solutions for their longer term challenges of talent pipelining and attracting more direct candidates to their organisation enabling a significant reduction in their recruitment fees. These solutions included:

  • The introduction and implementation of better recruitment processes and structures including formal job descriptions and psychometric profiling as standard
  • We seconded one of our employees to become their internal recruiter for a 6 month period ensuring an adherence to the quality processes we had introduced
  • We built a dedicated Careers Website with an integrated state-of-the-art Applicant Tracking System enabling increased direct candidate traffic and Talent Pipelining

3. Outcome

Our solution delivered a 57% reduction in our client’s recruitment costs as well as reducing their average time to hire by 4 weeks.

We successfully completed all of the senior role assignments via our thorough headhunting methodology, ensuring the best available talent was appointed for each vacancy.

The secondment of our employee has helped to ensure the new recruitment processes have been embedded, whilst also starting to build their talent pipeline.

In addition, the Careers Website has helped to attract a significant increase in direct applications as well as promoting our client’s brand as a great place to work.
